What does this mean for the home seller? It means we need to sell you home to AGENTS as much as we sell it to buyers. While public advertising of your home is a great way to attract NEW buyers to the market, serious buyers are already working with an agent.
So how do we sell your home to agents?
There is a laundry list of ways to get in front of agents; calling them, emailing them, posting the house on the MLS, hosting a broker open house, networking, etc. Most of these require an agent’s time, creativity and good reputation.
The next time you are interviewing for an agent to sell your home, it’s important to ask them how they plan to market to agents!
