Interview with the owners of 1815 New York Ave N, Minneapolis
What do you love about the city/town/area your home is in?
What we enjoy the most about the Near North community is the sheer amount of different activities that are available to us at any time during the week. We frequently go on walks or bike rides at Boom Island or Mill Ruins Parks, shop the many storefronts in the Twin Cities, and visit the farmer's market on weekends. When meeting with friends we have the option to go out for drinks at one of the many different bars or breweries in the area (all of which offer a different social vibe), go to concerts (First Avenue and The Fillmore), and take in the professional & college sports teams.
If you are in a neighborhood, what great things do you do there?
The best part about our neighborhood is the privacy and tranquility afforded to it even though downtown Minneapolis is a 3 minute drive away.
Key features about the home/property that I (we) appreciate/enjoy?
When we bought the property we were drawn to the open floor plan of the kitchen and living room, as well as the amount of counter space in the kitchen. We liked that the home afforded us the option to entertain friends and family in the home or go out and socialize with friends and family and have so many different activities available to us within a 5 minute drive from the home. The home was fitted with new appliances and provided plenty of storage space, including space for two vehicles in the garage which also added to its appeal.
Additional things we enjoy about each of the following specific rooms:
Kitchen: Hardwood floors, cabinet spaceBathroom(s): Newer vanities
Master Bedroom: Size of room and closet space
Living Room: Natural lighting/attached porch, hardwood floor, great entertaining area
Yard: Well maintained space
Other (office/exercise/dining/garage/laundry): Built in cedar chest in garage
My favorite restaurants and stores around this home are?
We enjoy eating at the following restaurants The Freehouse, Red Cow, Parlour, The Lowry, Ray J's, Wasabi Fusion
It’s convenient to go grocery shopping at: Cub Foods, Kowalski's, Whole Foods
Any great schools, clinics or other things to mention?
A few other things that I can mention are the sheer amount of well operated bars and breweries to include Inbound Brewing, Modist Brewing, Utepils Brewing, and Fulton Brewing.
What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property?
Our family enjoys biking and there are a lot of great walking and biking trails in the area. We also love perusing the nearby farmer's market and shopping at the nearby record/book stores.
Anything else you can think of that a potential buyer needs to know?
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!!!!!!
Average utility costs?
We are serviced by CenterPoint energy for our heating bill which averages $42 a month and Xcel Energy for electricity with a monthly bill averaging $64.
